What makes a good trivia question?
A good trivia question has one clear answer, is short enough to read out loud, and covers a topic most players know something about. The best rounds mix a few easy questions with a few hard ones, so everyone gets some right and nobody feels left out.
Keep these rules in mind when you write your own:
- One answer only. Avoid questions where two answers could be right.
- Check facts that change. Records, rankings and "current" titles go out of date quickly.
- Read it aloud first. If you trip over the question, your players will too.

- Set the rules. Decide on team sizes, whether phones are allowed, and how long players get per question.
- Keep score as you go. Mark each round straight away, or use an online quiz that scores itself.
- Plan a tie breaker. Keep one hard question with a number for an answer. The closest guess wins.
