Frequently asked questions
What should a music lesson contract include?
Tuition and when it's due, missed and make up lessons, teacher cancellations, practice, recitals, how to end lessons and studio rules. The terms are a sample to start from, not legal advice.
Is this the same as a piano studio policy?
Yes. Many piano and voice teachers call it a studio policy. Edit the bracketed rates, days and notice periods to match your own studio.
When should families sign it?
At the start of each school year or term, and when a new student joins. Each family signs online and you keep a signed PDF.
