## Frequently asked questions

### What should a music lesson contract include?

Tuition and when it's due, missed and make up lessons, teacher cancellations, practice, recitals, how to end lessons and studio rules. The terms are a sample to start from, not legal advice.

### Is this the same as a piano studio policy?

Yes. Many piano and voice teachers call it a studio policy. Edit the bracketed rates, days and notice periods to match your own studio.

### When should families sign it?

At the start of each school year or term, and when a new student joins. Each family signs online and you keep a signed PDF.
